The Voice of PH Season 2: Rak of Aegis star Poppert Bernadas, 7th 4 Chair Turner

Rak of Aegis star and a member of the Ryan Cayabyab Singers Poppert Bernadas, 27 auditioned with his own rendition of "Luha" which made him the 7th 4 Chair Turner of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2.

Poppert also had a moment to sing with The Voice of the Philippines Kids Edition winner Lyca Gairanod, eventually, Poppert chose to land into Team Sarah.

The Voice of the PH Season 2: Philippe Go Blind Auditions

25 year old chemist John Philippe Go can make chemistry and singing balance well as he auditioned with his own rendition of "Hanggang" which was popularized by Wency Cornejo.

Go was able to impress coaches Lea Salonga and Bamboo who had a fair share of words just to make Go a part of their team eventually, Go chose Coach Lea over Coach Bamboo.

The Voice of the PH Season 2: Ramonne Rodriguez Blind Auditons

Ramonne Rodriguez auditioned in the November 15 episode of The Voice of the PH Season 2 where she sang "Wala Na Bang Pag-ibig" which was popularized by Jaya. The 20 year old dancer & host was seen singing "Bahay Kubo" at the preview part before the audition episode was shown. She was able to make Coach Bamboo turn for her.

She thanked the coaches after finishing the song especially Coach Bamboo. It was later on learned that Ramonne wanted to land a spot in the Kamp Kawayan.

Marc Pingris goes back to school

Marc Pingris tries to be a role model by going back to school (Photo: Sports 5)

Marc Pingris shows that fame in basketball is only temporary, education is forever.

The Purefoods Star Hotshots Player is back in college as a Business Management student in PSBA in an effort to earn for himself a college diploma.

He enrolled 27 units in PSBA-QC to where mostly he has late afternoon classes which would not interfere with Purefoods practices, showing how serious he is to finish his degree. He was in the school until 2001 until he left to join the defunct MBA in 2001.

He then had won numerous championships with the Purefoods franchise, but realized the importance of a degree that he would be able to use it for the future.

The Voice of the PH Season 2: Nino Alejandro, 5th four chair turner

Nino Alejandro, a singer coming from the family of musicians (Hajji Alejandro as his uncle, Rachel as his cousin) auditioned for a spot in The Voice of the Philippines Season 2. 

During the blind audition, Nino rocked the stage with "Highway to Hell" and managed to have the 4 coaches turn. He later on chose to join Team Lea for the next phase of the contest.

The 54th Edition of the Miss International pageant was held in Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan with 2013 Miss International Bea Rose Santiago crowning Miss International Puerto Rico Valerie Hernandez as the 2014 winner.

The Voice PH Season 2: Jason James Dy serenades his way to Team Sarah

The last auditionee in the November 9, 2014 episode of The Voice probably swept the feet of girls with his own rendition of Stay with Me. Jason James Dy, from Butuan City works as a "haranista" and managed to let three chairs turn.

Miss Philippines and Miss Netherlands at Miss International Pageant

Miss International 2013: Den Dekker, Santiago and Radley

Last year, Bea Rose Santiago clinched for the Philippines the 5th Miss International crown, she had Miss Netherlands Nathalie Den Dekker (1st Runner Up) and Miss New Zealand Casey Radley (2nd Runner Up) as her court to whom she spent so much time after winning the competition. Den Dekker eventually spend some time in the Philippines for endorsements and causes especially when she brought donations for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda and had the chance to see the beauty of the country Santiago represented in Japan last year.

Shauny (Netherlands) and Bianca (PH)

This year, Miss Philippines Bianca Guidotti has also been bonding with Miss Netherlands Shauny Bult. If the name sounded familiar, Bult already represented Netherlands to the Miss Earth 2012 pageant which was held in Manila (Versailles Place, Alabang) which was won by Tereza Fajksova. We do see in the pictures how Bianca and Shauny have bonded through the pre-pageant events apart from the competition which would be held on Tuesday, November 11.

In a blog post by Sir Norman Tinio of Norman's Blog , Shauny noted that Mary Ann (Bianca) deserves to win it all and she would be proud of her and she knows that if she does win as well, Bianca will be proud of her as well.

Gabby Concepcion extends condolences for the family of Megastar's mom

Gabby Concepcion extended his condolences to the family of his former wife, Sharon Cuneta for the death of the Cuneta matriarch,  Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta more known to the industry as Mommy Elaine. 

In an interview shown in The Buzz just this Sunday, Concepcion said he understands how his daughter, KC feels after losing her "mita". It was recalled that during the early 90s, when Sharon was busy working and Gabby was in the States, it was Mommy Elaine Cuneta who stood by KC and took care of her.

He advised KC to be strong and happy that his grandmother is already in a better place right now.

He also mentioned that he had been a recepient of Mommy Elaine's kindness: Concepcion said: “Inalagaan niya 'yung mga anak niya, inalagaan niya kami hanggang sa mga apo niya. Malungkot [ako], may oras din na nakasama ko siya. Tumira din ako kasama nila. Mabait si mommy Elaine.”

The internment of Elaine Gamboa- Cuneta will be on Tuesday, November 11.

The Voice PH Season 2: Jem Cubil of Team Lea

Back in 2011, we were floored by Jem Cubil in Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 which was won by Marcelito Pomoy. 

Now, Jem opted to audition and which was shown at the November 8, 2014 episode of The Voice of the Philippines where he sang "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon. Jem dedicates his performance to his dad who passed away because of heart disease 3 years ago.

Jem got 2 chairs turn with Apl and Lea turning and later on, he picked Lea.

Watch: Karla Estrada's The Voice PH Season 2 audition

Veteran actress and TV personality Karla Estrada tried to let a chair turn for her in the Saturday edition of The Voice PH Season 2 (November 8).

The 39 year old actress and mother to teen hearthrob Daniel Padilla sang "What's Up" by the 4 Non Blondes but failed to make a chair turn despite Coach Sarah Geronimo singing along with her.

Estrada notes that the experience, though not going her way made her fulfill her dream as she was a so-called "kontesera" and made her happy.

Why Jeron Teng Did Not Venture to Acting

Dela Salle University Basketball Star Jeron Teng shared his reasons why he has turned down acting offers and the possibility of entering showbusiness.

In an interview with "Tapatan ni Tunying" aired last Thursday, Teng noted that he has to prioritize his studies. Jeron is a double degree major in Business Management and Behavioral Sciences in DLSU.

"May mga offers na mag-try ako mag-acting pero siyempre, alam ko yung priorities ko. Alam kong may commitment ako sa school." he said.

The latter also noted that his focus is to eventually land a career in the PBA, just like his dad Alvin and his brother Jeric who now plays for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

In the interview, he was also asked about Jane Oineza. Jeron in reply answered they are friends but are in constant communication with others.

The Voice PH Season 2: Karlo Mojica of Team Bamboo

It was an inspiring November 2 episode as Karlo Mojica, who spent his life on a wheel chair auditioned for a slot at The Voice of the Philippines. Karlo, a band member, sang "Bulag, Pipi at Bingi" which got Bamboo and Apl turn for him, eventually, with the same experience, Karlo opted to choose Bamboo.

The Voice PH Season 2: Daniel Ombao of Team Sarah

The 17 year old wakeboarder Daniel Ombao was surprised when he received the envelope given to him by the show's host Luis Manzano. He was able to let Sarah Geronimo turn thus joining the team of Sarah G for The Voice PH Season 2.

Daniel left his home in Bataan to pursue a singing career despite his father wanting him to be an Engineer.

Sarah Geronimo notes that his performance was perfect, nasa tama ang power ng boses na ginamit".

We have not seen MJ, Kris and Yvethe compete yet but BPCI has already opened its doors for applications for Bb. Pilipinas 2015. The requirements are already in the website: www.bbpilipinas.com and several beauty camps such as Aces and Queens and KF had already started training their girls for this year.

The Voice PH Season 2: Kai Honasan of Team Bamboo

Another four-chair turner for the November 2 episode was seen with Kai Honasan, 25, who went to the blind auditions with a goal to make a name for herself apart from her father, Senator Gringo Honasan.

Kai sang Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" which impressed the four coaches, Her father, Senator Honasan showed support by telling her that they would be her biggest fans regardless of the results.

Kai chose Bamboo to be the second artist of Kamp Kawayan.

The Voice PH Season 2: Mark Cando of Team Apl

The second week of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 went underaway with Mark Cando opening up the November 2 episode.

Mark Cando, 24 did his rendition of "Get Here" and got Apl De Ap turning for him, however, he also got to do his biggest dream as he was able to share the stage with his crush, Toni Gonzaga.

There was also the instant "Apl Pickup Lines" over this episode to which even Coach Lea Salonga give him some tips.

Mark joins Jannet Cadayona as the second artist for Team Apl.

The Voice PH Season 2: Jannet Cadayona of Team Apl

A lady cop in Jannet Cadayona made it pass the Blind Auditions with her rendition of "Tukso" by Eva Eugenio and eventually landed a spot with Team Apl.

Jannet is a Police Community Relations Officer in Tacloban City. She enjoys doing "selfie" after work and is proud to represent the Philippine National Police especially as she made it pass the Blind Auditions.

The Voice PH Season 2: Kokoi Baldo of Team Sarah

The second 4 chair turner also came during the pilot episode of The Voice PH with Kokoi Baldo, 35 a reggae singer who made the coaches dance along with his rendition of "One Day".

His interview before his audition noted that he was a musician from Boracay. Coach Lea noted that he wanted Kokoi to describe the island for her: "Maliit na isla na puno ng tinatawag na sorpresa". 

Apl De Ap was so impressed with Kokoi and eventually jammed with the singer but Kokoi probably made the surprising choice by choosing to be with Coach Sarah.

The Voice PH Season 2: Tanya Diaz of Kamp Kawayan

Tanya Diaz, 27, was the first 4-chair turner for The Voice of  the Philippines Season 2. She comes from a family of musicians where her father was a musical arranger.
She dedicated her performance to her late brother who was into rock music. 
On the show's pilot episode last Sunday, Diaz performed "What About Love", which showcased his vocal prowess that earned 4 chair turns.

"I'm at a loss for words. We just knew you're something special. Iba ka lang talaga. Thank you for joining us, thank you for being here, thank you for that performance," Bamboo said.

"You brought the house down. Alam mo, kailangan mo akong piliin, kasi kapag hindi mo ako pinili, para akong traffic sa EDSA, I cannot move on without you," apl.de.ap. told Diaz. 

"May mga good, tapos may mga very good, tapos may mga great. You're in the great section. You have everything, all the technical tools, emotionally, you're there. May katapusan ba 'yung galing nitong babaeng ito? Ang galing–galing mo talaga. Grabe ang naging impluwensiya ng kapatid mo sa 'yo," Lea Salonga said.

"Tanya, ikaw ang isa sa mga hinahanap ko. Sobrang amazing, 'yung ang linis kumanta, pero grabe kung mag-growl. Paano niyo 'yun... mga lalamunan niyo. Tanya, kailangan na kailangan kita sa team ko. We’ll do anything for you," Sarah Geronimo said.

When she opted to decide, Diaz chose to be with Coach Bamboo, thus being the first member of the Kamp Kawayan.

The Voice PH Season 2: Timmy Pavino of Team Lea

(Pardon for posting a week late, The Voice PH Season 2 went underway last week, October 26, 2014 with the four coaches back to choose this season's The Voice of the Philippines) 

Seattle-based Timmy Pavino, 24 managed to impress Bamboo Manalac, Sarah Geronimo and her eventual coach Lea Salonga in the first audition shown during the blinds of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2. 

Coach Lea eventually ended up with this quote as: "Timmy, everything na hinahanap ko sa isang singer, nasa'yo. It's this internal battle na, ano pa yung gagawin ko, pero ang galing-galing talaga, hindi ko pwedeng palampasin." 

Pavino is considered to already be a veteran performer as he has been singing here and abroad since he was 7. He also joined Kanta Pilipinas on TV 5 and had a rare duet with Angeline Quinto in ASAP.
