PBA Governors Cup Finals: ROS winning without Paul Lee, is that surprising?

No Paul Lee? No Problem, at least for Game 3
I am not a Rain or Shine faithful, but I was cheering for Rain or Shine for the Finals of the Governors Cup because of Jonathan Uyloan, Ryan Arana and Paul Lee. Coming into Game 3 with a loss, I would always have in my mind Yeng Guiao's Post-Game Interview back in Game 2.

"We will not give any excuses, we will win this, with or without Paul Lee".

The performance of the "Angas ng Tondo" was far from what is expected from a rookie, He outplayed the expectations when he was not the top pick (he was 2nd to Jayvee Casio) and is now the leading contender for the Rookie of the Year Award. ROS opponents respect his ball-handing, play making and shooting skills that he attracts a lot of defenders whenever he has the ball. Now in the Finals for the first time in franchise history, ROS' best local player is down but they are never out and they proved it Friday by winning without Paul Lee, who was at the Coliseum with his shoulder wrapped in a sling.

With Paul Lee out of the action for possibly the entire series (though he mentioned it is on a day-to-day), ROS fans had seen more playing time and touches for Jeff Chan, Ryan Arana, Jireh Ibanes, TY Tang. Jireh came with a hot start with 10 points just in the first half while Chan, Arana and the rest of the ROS gunners hit their threes to eventually pull away in the Game 3. Their Best Import, Jamelle Cornley rose from having a poor game prior to Game 3 and prove their spectators wrong that he deserves the Best Import Award. The biggest difference of the last night's game to Game 2 was they were not standing, they were moving the ball and attacking the Llamados defense. There was a few sequences that Belga had the chance to drive at the basket. ROS players and Yeng Guiao proved that people should never downplay their chances. Now with ROS winning without Paul Lee, is that surprising?

NO, with Yeng Guiao's masterful coaching and the confidence he has been giving players, they stand a chance... and now they are 2 wins away from the championship.
