Michelle Speaks: What is a SaladBox

Before you have opened this blog post, you may have thought of SALAD, consisting of veggies and your favorite dressing, either in ranch or in thousand island. However, it is not the case as SaladBox is actually one of those beauty boxes making waves here in the Philippines. I've known BDJ Box and subscribed to it for a one-time registration at P 480 so I've decided to read some reviews on SaladBox to see if given a chance I would subscribe to it.

A SaladBox subscriber gets four or more beauty products. They can then review the products and refer friends so as to earn Salad Leaves which they can then use to buy full-size products. SaladBox has five plans:

1.) Monthly Recurring - this costs P500 and renews itself automatically every month.
2.) Six Months Prepaid - pay a one-time payment of P2,700.
3.) One Year Prepaid - the one-time payment is P5,000 (the 11th and 12th boxes are free).
4.) SaladBox Lite - subscribe for just a month for P500.
5.) SaladBox Starter - pay P1,000 for two months.

Brands that are included in SaladBox are: BC Fragrance, Black Beauty, Camaru Naturals, Hotshop, Klair's, Natura, Sakura, Skinmiso, Virginia Olsen Minerals, and Wish Trend.

I've read several reviews and I feel the need of waiting for the November box to see if the contents have improved from the first box.

For more information, you can google through SaladBox and check out subscribers who had reviews over their boxes.

Michelle Speaks: Unboxing my BDJ Box

Viviamo Inc, the one that brought the Belle De Jour Planner has come up with another service in the BDJ Box. BDJ Box is for those who love beauty products and would want to try it out before buying the actual size. Based from the actual reviews I've read about the October BDJ Box, I've decided to give it a try because I've liked it.

BDJ Box contains 5-6 sample to full-sized products handpicked by the BDJ team composed of Beauty Editors/enthusiasts who really know their stuff well. The best part of the BDJ Box is they have flexible payment subscriptions. I opted to try the first one through a monthly subscription at P480.

As I unboxed the BDJ Box:

The packaging was very inviting to open. When it was sealed, it was relatively heavy, value for your money when I've received it.

Let's get down to the contents:

L'Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Daily Repairing Treatment (50 ml)
Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Active Multi-action Scrub (50 ml)
L'Oreal Revitalift Intensive Night Repair Essence (5 ml)
L'Oreal Lucent Magique Skin Illuminating BB Cream SPF20 (5 ml)
Calvin Klein Eternity Aqua (1.2 ml)
Syoss Repair Therapy Shampoo (100 ml)
Syoss Repair Therapy Conditioner (100 ml)
Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Hydrating Toner (50 ml)
Garnier Skin Naturals Light SPF17 (8 ml)

I gave my mom the BB Cream and the Night Repair Essence since I don't use them. I will be using the Shampoo and Conditioner for my dull and frizzy hair. I placed my sticker near my laptop because I use it often. My mom has been telling me to use the Eternity Aqua on events (I'm thinking of buying one already, Hello Duty Free?)  My dad basically wanted me to use all this stuff as it is armed to bring out the girl in me, it's not that I am tomboyish but I am actually not used to spending time for myself. My parents want me to change all that. :)

The biggest question?
Will I subscribe to another BDJ Box next month?
The answer? SURE...
