Send-off for 2014 Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa

2014 Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa was given her formal send-off by Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. earlier today despite the latter leaving on January 3, 2015. BPCI thought this will be a fitting Christmas Party for their adopted community in Novaliches as well as a way to invite press people before the holiday season.

Present in the send-off are MJ's Binibini 2014 Batchmates: Hannah, Laura, Parul, Kris, Yvethe and Bianca, each were given the opportunity to give their message of support.

Madam Stella Marquez Araneta also was present to give the queen a fitting message and send-off.

Venus Raj and Bianca Manalo, two previous Miss Universe Philippines are also around to support MJ. 

MJ will be off to Miami on the 3rd of January and will join all the pre-pageant activities leading to the finals night on January 25 where she hopes to succeed Gabriela Isler and be the 63rd Miss Universe.

Ara Arida waves her flag for the Philippines

 

For the Philippines, yes, this has been the mantra of 2013 Miss Universe Philippines Ariella Arida, who left yesterday on board to Moscow, Russia.

There is tremendous amount of pressure, but I should say this UP Chemistry graduate knows her pressure and will not succumb to it. She will be bringing to Crocus Hall all her preparations, be it on her tremendous  training with John Cuay to beauty queen preps with her fellow beauty queens from BBP Gold.

 

Ara is already onboard to Moscow (or maybe she has arrived) and is ready to announce her arrival with a bang.

Monica Misenas: Miss Humanity International Philippines 2013

We first thought it is Mercegrace Raquel who will be representing Philippines to Miss Humanity International 2013 but clarifications aside, here is the representative of the Philippines to this year's pageant in Barbados, Monica Misenas.

Monica Misenas is a 23 year old BS Tourism graduate under the tutelage of Karen Loren Agustin (Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2002). While her name does not ring a bell to anybody, her aura, gorgeous looks and advocacies may be more than enough for another MHI runner-up or the crown itself.

Miss Universe 2013 is in Russia!

The next Miss Universe will be crowned on November 9, 2013 in Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia. Olivia Culpo, reigning Miss Universe will crown her successor there.

There are at least three ladies with Filipina blood joining the contest, with our very own Miss Universe Philippines Ara Arida hoping that she can continue our successes in the Miss Universe stage for the past 3 years.
