Miss Universe 2013 1st Runner Up Patricia Rodriguez speaks out on being a lesbian

Miss Universe 2013 1st Runner Up and Miss Universe Spain Patricia Yurena Rodriguez has come out in the open that she is a lesbian days before crowning her successor at the national level this year. In La Prensa, the detail of the coming out of Rodriguez was mentioned along with her lover, Vanessa Klein (Vanessa Cortes), Rodriguez may have a sigh of relief right now that the world knows.

The Miss Universe Organization may be glad to go with Gabriela Isler last year but this may have been some kind of publicity if Rodriguez was Miss Universe for Donald Trump.

For your blogger, there's nothing wrong with Rodriguez being a lesbian and for Ara Arida's Mi Amor, it does not change the fact that what you do as an individual is important rather than your sexual orientation.

Miss Universe 2015 in Manila, PH?

Reigning Miss Universe Gabriela Isler

There is no definite date and place yet for Miss Universe 2014 but as early, there are reports that Manila is reportedly eyed to host Miss Universe 2015.

If this happens, this would be the third time that the country will be hosting the pageant.

Last July 21, 1974, Miss Universe was held at the Folk Arts Theater with Amparo Munoz of Spain succeeding Margarita Moran. Guadalupe Sanchez, then Philippine representative was part of the Top 12 finalists.

In 1994, Sushmita Sen of India won the Miss Universe crown when it was held here at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila. Charlene Gonzales made it to the Top 6.

While 2015 may have Manila as its host, the 2014 edition does not have a definite venue yet where 26 year old Mary Jean Lastimosa of Cotabato will represent the country for the right to succeed Gabriela Isler and become Miss Universe 2014
