Joanna Cindy Miranda did Filipinos proud for placing in the Top 10

 The 2013 edition of Miss Tourism Queen International happened last Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Xianning, China, 2011 MTQI winner Kantapat Peeradachainarin crowned Miss Latvia, Alisa Miskovska as the 2013 winner for Miss Tourism Queen International.

Winner: Miss Latvia Alisa Miskovska

1st place: Miss South Africa

2nd place:  Miss China

3rd place: Miss Korea

4th place: Miss Portugal

Philippine bet Joanna Cindy Miranda entered the Top 10.

MTQI 2011 Winner Ready To Crown Successor Soon

 

 MTQI 2011 Winner Kantapat Peeradachainarin of Thailand 

Just as we think it is gone for good, Miss Tourism Queen International recently posted a photo of their reigning queen, Kantapat Peeradachainarin of Thailand showing that she is ready to crown her successor. This is a welcome event for those who are set to represent their countries to MTQI after its cancellation last year. 

Philippines already has a delegate ready for MTQI: Joanna Cindy Miranda, 23 was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas Tourism and earned the right to represent the country to Miss Tourism Queen International 2013. Last year's winner, Katrina Dimaranan did not compete internationally.

Now that the long wait is over on who would be representing the country for Miss Supranational's Finals on September 15, I guess we should just support Elaine, after all, she shouldn't have placed 4th if she doesn't have the IT factor, I hope that she could be the first Miss Supranational of the country.

Oh yes, the MTQI 2012 pageant is still in China and probably, how Queenierich Rehman would be treated during the Finals Night of Miss World should say how Kat would be treated. MTQI 2012 Finals is on September 28. I hope Kat can exceeed how Isabella placed last year. (Isabella Manjon was the first Bb. Pilipinas delegate in MTQI who was unplaced and took home the Miss Charity).

Philippines has been doing well in MI for the past 4 years (Fernandez, Gersbach, Kleiner and Necio were all in the Top 15) and had won 4 MI titles (last was Precious Quigaman in 2005). Does Nicole feel the pressure of winning the Philippines 5th MI crown? Gut feel that she doesn't. I am thinking of the crown for her -- to a Runner-Up finish as the worst? Well, let's wait as 2011 Miss International Fernanda Cornejo relinquishes her crown in Okinawa, Japan on October 21.
