Team Apl: Daryl Ong wows crowd with Smile

R&B singer Daryl Ong topped the voting for Team Apl with his own rendition of Smile by Nat King Cole. 
Bamboo commented about Daryl's tasteful performance with what he does, the crooner thing that only he can do on the show.
His coach Apl De Ap said that it also deserves an APL - Ako'y papalakpak lang and lamented that Daryl was able to bring in his R&B flavor over the song.
Alisah Bonaobra was the second artist saved through the public votes while Mackie Cao was saved by the coach. Suy Galvez is out of the competition.

Watch: Bamboo's big announcement and first on The Voice PH

It was just Saturday when fans of The Voice Philippines Season 2 were hinted of Bamboo's Big Announcement and true enough, right after the performances of all the 9 artists came the biggest surprise.

Joniver Robles who qualified for the live shows will no longer advance to the competition due to personal reasons and he will be replaced by Rita Martinez. Bamboo immediately went to Rita's home to deliver the news:

Rita joins Tanya, Lougee, Rence, Karlo and Arnee for the live shows which would start next week.

#TheVoicePH Kokoi Baldo's Bilog Na Naman Ang Buwan (Video)

Bacolod-born Reggae Singer Kokoi Baldo from Team Sarah managed to gain the approval & standing ovation from his coach, Sarah and Ms. Lea Salonga with his knockout rounds song "Bilog Na Naman Ang Buwan".

The 35 year old Reggae Singer paid homage to Papa Dom of Tropical Depression and will be moving on to the next round of the competition with Monique Lualhati, Poppert Bernadas, Douglas Dagal, Jason Dy and Jason Fernandez.

The Voice PH Season 2 Battles: Poppert Bernadas vs. Jireh Singson

The last battle round for The Voice Philippines Season 2 last December 21 featured Team Sarah's  Poppert Bernadas and Jireh Singson. The two singers performed a Nexxus Band hit I'll Never Go.

Coaches Apl and Bamboo cited Jireh's performance as their favorite while Lea chose Poppert. Sarah declared Poppert as his last member to complete the Top 9 going to the knockouts.

The Voice PH Season 2: Jannet Cadayona vs. Arnee Hidalgo from Team Apl

The continuation of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 went with Team Apl's Jannet Cadayona and Arnee Hidalgo singing a Basil Valdez hit "Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo".

Coach Apl declared Jannet as the winner of the battle and will still be with Team Apl for the Knockout rounds. 

Arnee meanwhile will still be with the competition as she was stolen by Bamboo.

The Voice PH Battles: Team Sarah's Kokoi Baldo vs. Elmerjun Hilario

Team Sarah's Kokoi Baldo and Elmerjun Hilario heated up The Voice's stage with their own rendition of Mr. Big's hit "To Be With You". 

Coach Apl and Lea noted the vocal skills of Kokoi while Bamboo chose Elmerjun. For the coaches decision, Coach Sarah chose Kokoi to remain on her team for the knockout rounds. 

While Elmerjun was slowly saying his thanks to Sarah, the three other coaches pressed the steal button. For Coaches Apl, Lea and Bamboo, they noted Elmerjun's positive aura and his voice that is able to transcend the song. Elmerjun chose Coach Bamboo and will remain in the competition for the knockout rounds.

The Voice PH Battles: Team Apl's Bradley Holmes vs. Jason Fernandez

Team Apl's Bradley Holmes and Jason Fernandez started the ball rolling for their group with their rendition of "I Would Do Anything For Love" in the December 6, 2014 episode of The Voice. 


Sarah, Bamboo and Lea noted Jason's consistency with his performance, owing to the factor that the latter has been familiar to working his way to the stage. However, Apl chose to keep Bradley within the competition. 
Coaches Lea and Sarah pressed the steal button for Jason, an opportunity they can do for contestants who would not get picked for the whole battle rounds. Jason chose Sarah and will remain in the competition as a part of Team Sarah.

The Voice PH Battles: Team Bamboo's Rita Martinez vs. Suy Galvez

Team Bamboo's Rita Martinez and Suy Galvez started the battle performances with their rendition of Soft Cell's Tainted Love.

Rita was able to get the nod of the other three coaches with Bamboo sealing the deal and picking her to remain in the competition. 

Apl used his first steal to be able to get Suy Galvez. Suy will also remain in the competition as a part of Team Apl.

The Voice PH Battles: Team Lea's Timmy Pavino vs. Philippe Go

Team Lea's artists started the Battles for The Voice PH Season 2 with Timothy Pavino and Philippe Go singing Forevermore.

Sarah, Bamboo and Apl noted the consistency of Philippe on his performance but Lea chose Timmy to move on to the knockout rounds.

Rak of Aegis star and a member of the Ryan Cayabyab Singers Poppert Bernadas, 27 auditioned with his own rendition of "Luha" which made him the 7th 4 Chair Turner of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2.

Poppert also had a moment to sing with The Voice of the Philippines Kids Edition winner Lyca Gairanod, eventually, Poppert chose to land into Team Sarah.

The Voice of the PH Season 2: Philippe Go Blind Auditions

25 year old chemist John Philippe Go can make chemistry and singing balance well as he auditioned with his own rendition of "Hanggang" which was popularized by Wency Cornejo.

Go was able to impress coaches Lea Salonga and Bamboo who had a fair share of words just to make Go a part of their team eventually, Go chose Coach Lea over Coach Bamboo.

The Voice of the PH Season 2: Ramonne Rodriguez Blind Auditons

Ramonne Rodriguez auditioned in the November 15 episode of The Voice of the PH Season 2 where she sang "Wala Na Bang Pag-ibig" which was popularized by Jaya. The 20 year old dancer & host was seen singing "Bahay Kubo" at the preview part before the audition episode was shown. She was able to make Coach Bamboo turn for her.

She thanked the coaches after finishing the song especially Coach Bamboo. It was later on learned that Ramonne wanted to land a spot in the Kamp Kawayan.

The Voice of the PH Season 2: Nino Alejandro, 5th four chair turner

Nino Alejandro, a singer coming from the family of musicians (Hajji Alejandro as his uncle, Rachel as his cousin) auditioned for a spot in The Voice of the Philippines Season 2. 

During the blind audition, Nino rocked the stage with "Highway to Hell" and managed to have the 4 coaches turn. He later on chose to join Team Lea for the next phase of the contest.

The Voice PH Season 2: Jason James Dy serenades his way to Team Sarah

The last auditionee in the November 9, 2014 episode of The Voice probably swept the feet of girls with his own rendition of Stay with Me. Jason James Dy, from Butuan City works as a "haranista" and managed to let three chairs turn. 

He eventually chose to join Team Sarah for the next round of the competition.

The Voice PH Season 2: Jem Cubil of Team Lea

Back in 2011, we were floored by Jem Cubil in Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 which was won by Marcelito Pomoy. 

Now, Jem opted to audition and which was shown at the November 8, 2014 episode of The Voice of the Philippines where he sang "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon. Jem dedicates his performance to his dad who passed away because of heart disease 3 years ago.

Jem got 2 chairs turn with Apl and Lea turning and later on, he picked Lea.
