2014 Miss International Winners

The 54th Edition of the Miss International pageant was held in Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan with 2013 Miss International Bea Rose Santiago crowning Miss International Puerto Rico Valerie Hernandez as the 2014 winner.

Zuleika Suarez won the Best Dresser and Miss Friendship Award, Jhaltaleka Malhotra of India was Miss Internet, Indonesia's Elfin Pertiwi Rappa was Best in National Costume while France's Aurianne Sinacola got the Perfect Body Award.

Valerie and the rest of the runners-up will stay in Japan until 19th for press conferences and commitments to the Miss International Organization.

Miss Grand Philippines gets crowned August 16

Ali Forbes: Miss Grand International 2013 3rd Runner Up, to whom will this crown fit? 

Chaired by Beauty Queen Maker John Dela Vega, the inaugural search for Miss Grand Philippines will happen on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 7pm at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center, Diliman, Quezon City with 19 ladies competing to succeed handpicked delegate, Bb. Pilipinas 2012 1st Runner Up and Miss Grand International 3rd Runner Up Ali Forbes to represent the country to Miss Grand International on October 7, 2014.

The Bangkok-based competition managed to caught the attention of pageant fans after its inaugural staging that had 72 contestants at the Impact Arena. Miss Grand International 2013 Janelee Chapparo and Miss Grand International owner Nawat Isaratgrisil are both expected to grace the event.

Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul to grace Miss Grand Thailand 2014

2013 Miss Supranational Mutya Datul along with 2013 Miss Grand International Janelee Chapparo will be gracing the finals of Miss Grand Thailand to be held on June 17. There are 5 crowns at stake in this event: Miss Grand International Thailand, Miss Supranational Thailand, Miss Earth Thailand, Miss Intercontinental Thailand and Miss Tourism International Thailand.

Mutya at present is in Poland doing her Miss Supranational duties.

Slimmer's World Miss Bikini Philippines Winners

 

Roshiel Asingua (2nd Runner Up), Hazel Joy Ortiz (Miss Bikini Philippines 2014) and Jessica Arqueza (1st Runner Up)

Hazel Joy Ortiz was crowned as the new Miss Bikini Philippines for 2014 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila. She succeeds Janicel Lubina, 2013 Miss Bikini Philippines and Miss World Philippines 1st Princess and is set to provide representation of the country to the 2014 Miss Bikini International. 

Jessica Arqueza and Roshiel Asingua wraps up this year's Miss Bikini Philippines Top 3 as 1st and 2nd Runner Up respectively. Jessica may represent the country to Miss Tourism Queen Asia (the Asian counterpart of Miss Tourism Queen International) where Christine Cheeny Racel won 3rd Runner Up last year.

Valerie Weignmann, Catriona Gray or Pia Wurtzbach: Miss World Philippines bound?

With the recent success of the sole Aces and Queens bet Megan Young last year, there is no doubt that A&Q wants to continue the winning tradition at the next Miss World Philippines 2014. Clearly in my mind, the following ladies on photo (credit to Sash Factor) would make a good MWP court this year. 

Valerie Weignmann is on temporary leave from hosting at Eat Bulaga, Cassandra Naidas, Pia Wurtzbach and Kimverlyn Suiza are all free from pageant obligations and Catriona Gray, has been rumored to join as early as last year but has not submitted her application. 

From our sources, Valerie Weignmann may be Aces and Queens top bet for Miss World Philippines 2014.

Miss International 2014: Bea Rose Santiago to crown successor in Japan

 

The 54th Edition of Miss International Beauty Pageant will be held once more in Tokyo, Japan on November 11, 2014 where the reigning queen, Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago will crown her successor at the end of the event. Various countries already have their own delegates including the Philippines with Bb. Pilipinas International Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti.

Miss Philippines Earth: Bianca Paz's last stop for a crown

 

If you would notice it, Bianca Paz, Miss World Philippines 3rd Princess for 2013 is hardly visible to any CQGQ events, it has been Janicel Lubina, Zahra Saldua and Omarie Linn Osuna doing their chores with CQGQ, this may be the reason why as Bianca officially makes it to MPE 2014.

The Rodgil Flores bet probably has the best pageant experience, having been in BBP and MWP twice, she knows what went wrong and where to adjust on why she never got the crown, but will it be enough for Bianca to actually win it all?

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: 5 crowns at stake with Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental

 

This year's candidates will compete for 5 crowns: Universe, International, Supranational, Tourism and Intercontinental, putting an end to rumors that the Bb. Pilipinas Charities have acquired the franchise to the Europe based pageant run by the World Beauty Organization as confirmed in the Ricky Lo report: Click Ricky Lo report here

In the previous years, Mutya ng Pilipinas is responsible for sending delegates to Miss Intercontinental, last of which is Koreen Medina who placed 3rd Runner Up and was the Queen of Asia & Oceania.  However, Koreen's official title with Mutya ng Pilipinas is Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific-International. Sources note that the Asia Pacific International pageant will return and will be used as the contest for the major winner of Mutya ng Pilipinas this year.

Miss Grand Philippines 2014: Separate pageant or Highest JDV's girl in Bb. Pilipinas 2014?

 

On the maiden edition of Miss Grand International 2013, Philippines had a handpicked bet, a John Dela Vega ward in Bb. Pilipinas 2012 1st Runner Up Annalie Forbes. Ali didn't fail to disappoint as she was 3rd Runner Up in the competition won by Janelee Chaparro.

For this year, there were talks of a separate Miss Grand Philippines pageant or the highest John Dela Vega ward currently a contestant to Bb. Pilipinas 2014 (except for the titleholder).

Whatever it is, Miss Grand International has surely been a promising competition on its maiden edition and we'll pretty much cover what there is once the delegate has been named.

Tickets to Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Coronation Night Now Available

 

Ticket prices for Bb. Pilipinas Coronation Night 2014 have already been made available. VIP tickets reportedly are not available on sale since they go to the pageant sponsors.

The 51st Edition of Bb. Pilipinas will be on March 30, 2014 and is made brighter by Russian Popstar Emin and the reigning Miss Universe Gabriela Isler's entry as a judge of the coronation night.
