It wasn't a happy affair at all after a win for Blackwater last Tuesday.
After winning against EA Regen 71-67 in a PBA D-League game held inside the Ateneo Campus, members of the Blackwater Sports team lead by their coach Leo Isaac were stunned when they returned to their dugout finding out that most of their belongings have been ransacked by thieves.
An initial investigation reported that the players had lost their mobile phones & gadgets, while some players even lost their change of clothes.
Victims of the incident were Allan Mangahas, Louie Vigil, Paolo Pe, Eric Suguitan, Robby Celiz, Kevin Ferrer, Gio Ciriacruz, Pari Llagas, and two former Ateneo Blue Eagles in Justin Chua and Bacon Austria.
According to PBA officials, this was not the first time it happened inside the Ateneo campus, there was already an incident that a pro team's dugout was ransacked by thieves in a pre-season game.
PBA Commissioner Chito Salud has made his move regarding the incident by asking a "thorough investigation and full compensation/replacement of the lost property, if warranted by circumstances".
