Sarah Geronimo now an SMDC ambassador, replaces Anne Curtis?
SMDC marketing head Nita Claravall reveals in SMDC's annual stockholders meeting that Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo will soon be launched as SMDC's new brand ambassador.
"For this year, we will have new brand ambassadors, the most popular
women in the country today... By end of May, we will be launching Sarah Geronimo," Claravall said.
By having Geronimo as a brand endorser, you would expect to see her more on billboards, commercial of the brand and radio ads. But does Sarah replace Anne Curtis who has long been the face of SMDC?
Claravall clarifies that Geronimo will be an addition to SMDC's lineup of brand ambassadors and would not replace Curtis.
"She’s very popular (referring to Sarah). It makes sense for us because Sarah and Anne are at the top of their game right now. Sarah Geronimo will appeal to the mass market, while Anne Curtis will appeal to the A, B and C markets," Claravall said.

Anne Curtis to appear in US series 'Hannibal'
Anne Curtis expressed her feelings in micro-blogging site Twitter after getting a chance to be included in a US television series.

Anne might appear for a cameo role in the series "Hannibal" after being suggested by Joyce Ramirez, head of Manila-based public relations firm Publicity Asia (PR Asia).
The 28-year-old actress eventually got the approval of screenwriter and TV producer Bryan Fuller.

"Hannibal" is a thriller series which started airing in the US on NBC and stars Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen and Laurence Fishburne.
In the Philippines, the show recently aired its pilot episode via the cable channel AXN. PR Asia Worldwide is responsible for its local promotion.

Anne Curtis - John Lloyd Cruz movie in the works?
Two prized Kapamilya stars Anne Curtis and John Lloyd Cruz are reportedly doing a movie together.
In an interview, the "It Takes A Man and A Woman" actor said his next big project after his movie with Sarah Geronimo might be a film with Anne.
"I'm hearing Anne Curtis but you know in this business hanggang hindi pa nangyayari, hindi pa," he said on "Mornings@ANC."
Anne also declined to yet confirm the reports but hopes their teamup will be given a chance.
"Not sure about that yet. There's no confirmation so I don't know what to say," Anne said. Last month, Anne surprised her fans by announcing she will be back on the silver screen, but did not reveal any more details about it.
In 2011, both Anne and John Lloyd said they would like to work with each other in the future in a movie project.

Anne in full support of Kris
Anne Curtis expresses her full support in Kris Aquino's ongoing dispute with ex-husband James Yap.
"She has my more than 150% support, especially that Bimby is my inaanak. So, they have my support," Anne said in an interview as posted in Yahoo! Philippines.
Anne also said Kris was very "devastated" when she was with her a day before she announced her resignation on national television.
"I just texted her and I said na 'Ate, you know I love you.' There's only so much you can say with words. So, I just let her know that I'm always there for her and Bimby," Anne said.
Anne and Kris star in the Kapamilya soap "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" which is nearing its finale.
On its official statement released Saturday, the ABS-CBN management said Kris should fulfill her commitments to her shows upon her return from a vacation with sons Bimby and Josh on Europe.

Anne Curtis explains side on controversial outfit
Anne Curtis has explained through her Instagram account the sexy outfit she wore during last Sunday's performance on ABS-CBN's Sunday noontime show "ASAP."
Anne became a subject of controversy after wearing a revealing dress for her birthday production number in the said show. She sang Rihanna's "Diamonds" and got soaked up under the artificial rain.
The video of Anne's performance, uploaded by ABS-CBN News' YouTube account, was made private after a few hours of being public.
While the number was dubbed "unique" and "artistic," Anne's sky-high slit on her left leg caught the attention of netizens much more.
Here's what Anne said on Instagram:
"TAAAADAAA! I present to you the controversial @boomita outfit I wore for my birthday number on ASAP. As you can see we have a bodysuit with a hidden tangga to make way for the sky high slit skirt. It is made out of 2 pieces. In fact the "tangga" is made out of swimsuit material which Boom Sason is also known for making. I was completely protected. It may have seemed like a wardrobe malfunction to many but I can assure you, after making the mistake of not securing myself once I wouldn't let that happen to me again. :) So to settle all your minds I just had to post this. Thank you everyone that was concerned! To everyone that's trying to make an issue out of it! Thank you! ABSCBN news just told me its their most clicked video on their site ever! Just relax everyone! Wearing a tangga is not newbie in the industry! It's been around since the 80's :)"

Anne Curtis Covers Look Magazine December 2012/January 2013 Issue
Anne Curtis is on the cover of the Look Magazine December 2012/January 2013 issue. The new issue, dubbed as the Big Boyfriend Special feature several women dressing up their men. Anne Curtis meanwhile share that she is better than any other in everything - including love.
You would see Anne back on primetime TV with Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw alongside Kris Aquino and Robin Padilla.

The Muses of PBA Teams for Opening Day
As much as everyone is excited about the opening of 2012-2013 All Filipino Cup and the 38th Season of the longest running basketball league, it has always been a lovely sight to see the teams parade with their different muses during the opening ceremonies.
This year's PBA opening ceremonies is on Sunday, September 30 at 4 pm with Global Port Batang Pier (formerly Powerade) and the crowd-favorite Barangay Ginebra San Miguel as the first game by 6 pm.
