Official Statement of Binibining Pilipinas USA from Insider Productions

With the spirit of fairness and understanding, we air the side of Bb. Pilipinas - USA. Insider Productions has sent us an e-mail through our own addresses so we earn the right to post this statement which is also found in their fan page.

To check out the statement of Bb. Pilipinas Charities regarding the Bb. Pilipinas-USA: here

OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF BINIBINING PILIPINAS USA
August 2, 2013

Binibining Pilipinas USA (“BP-USA”), along with our charitable beneficiaries for this year’s
pageant, Apl.De.Ap Foundation International and Mending Kids International, are very
disappointed to learn that some false and malicious statements have been circulating, to the
effect that BP-USA has claimed to be affiliated with Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI),
which operates the Bb. Pilipinas pageant in Manila.

Binibining Pilipinas USA is a registered US trademark owned by Insider Productions, LLC. As such, Insider Productions, LLC, is the only party authorized to use the registered name and logo of Binibining Pilipinas USA, and no other party has the right to use this name and logo anywhere within the United States.

At the risk of stating the obvious, neither Binibining Pilipinas USA nor Insider Productions has ever held itself out as being affiliated in any way with BPCI. This has been made abundantly clear from the outset, and made glaringly obvious by the fact that BP-USA has always committed to send one of its finalists to compete in Miss Philippines Earth, the direct
competitor of BPCI. Any suggestions to the contrary are patently absurd.

Every worthwhile effort draws its share of detractors, but we remain undaunted. BP-USA and its supporters have helped raise thousands of dollars for the charitable beneficiaries of this year’s pageant. BP-USA is also committed to supporting the Philippine Department of
Tourism’s “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” tourism promotion campaign, and has devoted a substantial part of the pageant to this effort. Accordingly, this is the final and only statement that we will issue about this subject, as we consider our legal options.

On behalf of Insider Productions, our generous sponsors, candidates, supporters, Apl.De.Ap
Foundation International and Mending Kids International, we thank you for your continued
support, and we look forward to seeing you again next year for Binibining Pilipinas USA 2014.

Official Statement of Bb. Pilipinas Charities regarding Binibining Pilipinas - USA

Bb. Pilipinas USA is in no way affiliated to BPCI,

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

Please be informed that Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI), the organizer ofBinibining Pilipinas Beauty Pageant and official holder of the franchises for Miss Universe and Miss International is in no way connected with any entity and/or pageant operating in other countries such as the Binibining Pilipinas – USA and its affiliates.

This clarification is being made after receiving several inquiries from different sectors on the true relationship of BPCI and Binibining Pilipinas – USA. The public’s confusion apparently stems from the blatant and unauthorized use of logos, format, layout, activities, name, mark, style design and concept that are disturbingly similar and almost identical to that of BPCI’s Binibining Pilipinas Beauty Pageant.

While imitation may be the best compliment, BPCI issues this clarification to caution all entities, sponsors, partners and candidates that it has not in any way granted authorization to any pageant or organization to stage a competition on its behalf.Hence it will not honor any commitment or agreement that any party may enter into in connection with “Binibining Pilipinas – USA” or any similar pageant, as a consequence of its contest, including contracts as to prizes, sponsors and production, and other activities. BPCI likewise advises clients of “Binibining Pilipinas – USA” that it will not honor or hold itself liable under any promise; contract or offer whatsoever intended to bind BPCI.

Thank you very much.

Elaine Kay Moll: What's Next?

While Annalie Forbes is among those rumored to repeat for Bb. Pilipinas 2013, it isn't the same thing around for Bb. Pilipinas 2012 1st Runner Up turned Miss Supranational Philippines 2012 Elaine Kay Moll. You see, Elaine had the biggest chance of a lifetime that rarely happened in a Bb. Pilipinas Runner Up. She was appointed by BPCI to join Miss Supranational 2012, had the "queenly" send-off, was awarded as 3rd Runner-Up during the Miss Supranational 2012 contest (Ekaterina Buraya of Belarus won Miss Supranational 2012 contest) and was given a victory party/birthday bash when she came back. The experience definitely was more than what the 1st Runner Up expected, given  that it doesn't happen all the time (the last time you saw a runner-up or runners-up competing was when Michelle Reyes and Maricar Balagtas (1st and 2nd Runners-up respectively) were appointed by BPCI to different international competitions in 2001).
Now we are asking, what is next for this 20-ish something beauty queen? Will she skip 1 year at least before re-joining Bb. Pilipinas and pass the crown she's wearing now to the next BBP-Supranational (if that title should be awarded in the contest)? Will she be groomed by her mentor, Jonas Gaffud to banner this year's Aces and Queens? Or the Supranational experience changed her contract thus forbidding her to re-join under the BPCI banner,

That I (and I know you ask yourself)...
