The Impact Player in Jay Washington

Video Credits: SMB/Petron at Youtube

The video that I had embedded on this post is the alley oop made on a pass by Chris Lutz to the comebacking Jay Washington. After a 4 point debut against Powerade Tigers, Jay Washington soared high during the next game against Meralco spearheading the Blaze Boosters to 19 points and 9 rebounds.

Though Jay Washington still needs to have the "timing" that he used to had before he was sidelinedd, the impact player of Petron Blaze Boosters would probably be the biggest difference maker in the title defense of PBB for the Governors Cup. Who would not forget that he was Back-to-Back Best Player of the Conference before he was sidelined with his injury for almost a year.

Now back in Petron uniform, Jay is a mismatch as much as Arwind's spiderman like hands are, most of the teams they are battling out are having the trouble on how to contain both of them. Jay can light it to the 3 point spot and bring tough defense on the opposite end.

It is a joy for PBB fans to see Jay, Arwind, Alex, Lutz and in a few weeks time, Marcio Lassiter teaming up for their title retention. It is also a nice problem to have how Coach Ato Agustin would use them for his rotation.

Champ Oguchi is Meralco's reinforcement

A familiar face would be reinforcing Meralco who had import woes as Juan Patillo was over the height limit. Champ Oguchi completes the list of Governors Cup imports as he would be reinforcing the Meralco Bolts for the tournament. Oguchi will be arriving Monday and is set to play for the Bolts on Wednesday.
