Barako Bull would have to go to the long route after they had beaten Meralco today, July 1 by 2 points, 81-79.
The team had to win by 5 points or more for them to secure a one-game bye in the playoffs, instead, Mario West and the Bolts had kept the game close, even if the Energy lead by as much as 17 points.

Winner of the game on Tuesday vs. Meralco (who secures a higher quotient) - Wednesday - July 4.
