Miss Philippines Earth 2013 at SM Supermalls

Here is another updated picture of the schedule of Miss Philippines - Earth screenings at SM with the following requirements needed for your application:

1. Materials for talent presentation 

2. Swimsuit, cocktail dress, a photocopy of birth certificate and high school diploma, 2 pictures - 1 closeup, 1 whole body.

3. Applicant must be 18-25 years old and at least 5'5" tall.

4. Applicant is requested to be in light makeup.

Jake Cuenca and Bea Alonzo poses for Men's Health and Women's Health Magazine for March 2013

 

Showing off his six-pack abs for the nth time is Jake Cuenca, who is bannering the March 2013 issue of the Men's Health Magazine. The magazine, dubbed as "The Beach Body Issue" shows tips on how you can jumpstart to your best summer ever. It also quotes the cover boy Cuenca saying that ""Staying fit is also about finding the best workouts that fit you".

 

Meanwhile, Women's Health banners the sexy Bea Alonzo who will share how she shoots down insecurity and keeps her weight off. There are also summer features especially on how you can sculpt your best beach body - from flattening your belly to firming your butt and getting the lean legs you desire. 

Both magazines are from Summit Media and are sold at P 140 from bookstores/newsstands.

NBA pre-season game at MOA Arena on October 10

The NBA is coming to town!

Earlier speculated, Commissioner David Stern confirmed on Tuesday via video message two powerhouse teams Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers will play a pre-season game at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

Reigning Queens at Operation Smile

2012 has been a great year for Bb. Pilipinas, with Janine Tugonon almost nailing it in the Miss Universe, Nicole Schmitz's Miss International semifinalist placement and Elaine Kay Moll's Miss Supranational 3rd Runner Up placement and what better way to end their reign than to help and enjoy at the same time with charity work, such as Operation Smile.

With Bb. Pilipinas Tourism Katrina Dimaranan (there is no news about MTQI 2012 taking place) and Bb. Pilipinas 2nd Runner Up Annalie Forbes, the reigning queens joined the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 candidates on one of its first activities, Operation Smile.

Joker Arroyo still thriftiest senator

Senator Joker Arroyo, who is on his last term in office, is still the thriftiest legislator for 20 years, when it comes to spending taxpayer's money.

The Commission on Audit (COA) released the list of the spending of the senators in the 15th Congress. The statistics showed Arroyo spent a total of P31.687 million in 2011.

The list showed Enrile, Estrada, Alan Cayetano and Sotto with among the highest allocations compared to other senators because statistics reflected they had more spendings as officers of the Senate.

Senators Juan Miguel Zubiri and Aquilino Pimentel shared the Senate seat in 2011, thus no data was provided.
