The 63rd edition of Miss World 2013 had its coronation night last September 28, 2013 where Wenxia Yu, Miss World 2012 crowned Megan Young of the Philippines as Miss World 2013.

Banchero officially signs with Boracay Rum

 

Former San Miguel Beermen star Chris Banchero has officially signed with Boracay Rum, the team that drafted him in the D-League. 

Banchero is set to receive the maximum salary for D-League players at P 30,000. The Waves Coach Lawrence Chongson also became a man of his word with food, housing and transportation allowance to the man who helped SMC with its maiden ABL championship last season.

Coach Chongson also put his foot down with the thought of having Chris play also in the ABL, He cited Chris has no way to the PBA but pass through D-League though he understood that ABL has helped augment Banchero's finances with a higher salary.

Miss World 2013: Vania Larissa wins Miss Talent

  

Indonesia's Vania Larissa takes home the Miss Talent Award at the ongoing Miss World 2013 competition.

Larissa, 17 is a singer who on in Indonesia Got Talent competition when she was 14. 

Miss World Organisation said that Larissa’s “flawless rendition of ‘A Question of Honour’, sung in an operatic style with a modern twist” made her win the talent round.

“Our eventual winner was next up, and Indonesia's performance was simply immaculate. Hitting every high note flawlessly, and showing a great range in her vocal skills, she really showed why at the age of only 14 she won Indonesia’s Got Talent, and was again announced winner her tonight,” the organisation said in a statement.

Larissa won over the finalists of the talent round:  Australia, British Virgin Islands, Ukraine, Wales, Trinidad and Tobago, Slovakia, Cameroon, Canada, Hong Kong China, Dominica and Panama.

The Top 4 of the Voice of the Philippines has been named: Mitoy for Team Lea, Myk Perez for Team Bamboo, Klarisse De Guzman for Team Sarah and Janice Javier for Team Apl.

The songs of the final 4 are already available on iTunes and this time around, it is a big factor for their votes as 1 song download = 5 votes.

As of today, Myk Perez tops the iTunes charts for the original piece, "Fix You".
