Bank warns public about the ATM scam
Bank of the Philippine Islands has warned their depositors regarding the scam involving their automated teller machines in Paranaque City.
Two depositors lost thousands of pesos because of multiple transactions on different locations. There are also specific machines in Paranaque which had the same experience, one in BF Homes and Presidents Avenue.
BPI promised to return the money of their depositors, however it is advised to do the following tips when transacting via ATM:
* Pins should be changed regularly
* Withdraw on secure ATM locations or trusted sites.
* Depositors must cover with their hand while key-in their PIN.

John Legend in Manila 2014
9 time Grammy Award Winner John Legend will be having a Manila concert entitled: An Evening with John Legend: The All of Me Tour on September 26, 2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Legend is known for his hit-song "All of Me" which was his first number 1 single and almost heard everywhere in Metro Manila.

Leo Austria is the new San Miguel Beermen Coach
Leo Austria inks a one-year contract to be the head coach of San Miguel Beermen replacing Head coach Biboy Ravanes and active consultant Todd Purves.
The former Adamson Falcons mentor and current top man of the Ateneo Sports Program hopes to handle the team and steer them back to another championship after it fail to pass by the quarterfinals round of the last two conferences last season.
Coach Leo is no stranger to SMB, he was a part of the coaching staff during the Rajko Toroman and Olsen Racela co-coaching gamble. He was also the coach of the San Miguel Beermen ABL Basketball team that were the champions in the 2013 Asean Basketball League with Chris Banchero and Asi Taulava on their fold.
According to reports, Coach Leo hopes to meet in the coming days to finalize the coaching staff. He also spoke about the team's need for balance and defined roles. He wants his team not to adjust to their opponents but for their opponents to adjust with them.
Fifth Pagotan Evicted from PBB House
Fifth Pagotan was the latest evictee of the Pinoy Big Brother House as he tallied the lowest number of votes on the 10th Eviction Night last August 2, 2014.
The "Brad Kulit" of the PBB house follows his twin brother, Fourth who was evicted two weeks earlier. Fifth became controversial recently as he confessed he was a bisexual. He received numerous reactions, including respect from the netizens on how he managed to reveal his identity in public.
After Fifth's eviction, another housemate from Manolo Pedrosa, Joshua Garcia and Jane Oineza will be evicted today, August 3, 2014.

Paul George suffers gruesome leg injury
Indiana Pacers' Paul George suffered a serious leg injury during the U.S. national team's intrasquad scrimmage at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center Friday night.
The guard/forward landed and then buckled at the base of the basket stanchion after he pursued James Harden in transition defense, just 27 seconds into the fourth quarter.
While a lot did not get a clear look at the injury, fans chanted his name in the hopes of seeing him stand up.
George was taken off the court in a stretcher to a standing ovation. Coach Mike Krzyzewski then led the players to mid-court and informed the crowd they were calling off the remainder of the scrimmage.
A report from ESPN said George was taken to the Hospital for Special Surgery in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With the injury, George is most likely to miss the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and NBA's regular season as well.
George tweeted the following after the gruesome injury:

George averaged 21.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists last season for Indiana.

Himig Handog 2014 Interpreters Revealed
The country's biggest songwriting competition is back after its successful staging last year with Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 2014, The contest behind the winning song "Anong Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa" by Aiza Seguerra and the popular "Nasayo Na Ang Lahat" by Daniel Padilla aims to bring back the glory of OPM.
This year, there are 15 finalists competing to be the grand prize winner, the mixture of veteran and new songwriters give the fresh take to this contest with the following interpreters:
