With a TRO, Tulfo show can proceed - CA

The Court of Appeals (CA) has allowed TV5 to proceed airing the Tulfo brothers' show, T3.

The Pangilinan-led broadcasting firm secured a temporary restraining order (TRO) today. This will be effective for 60 days. The sixth division of the appellate court ordered the petitioners to post a P100,000 bond.
Last May 16, the CA turned down the plea of TV5 for a halt order on the initial 20-day suspension order of the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on "T3."
On May 30, MTRCB finally ordered the suspension of the "current affairs" show for three months.
The suspension was announced by the board through spokesperson Atty. Eugenio Villareal after a "thorough deliberation" by its adjudication board.
The case stemmed from the supposed on-air threats issued by program hosts Ben, Raffy and Erwin Tulfo against celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto following a brawl between the couple's group and the Tulfos' eldest brother, Mon.
