Chieffy of the Azkals, Apl De Ap banner TOYM 2012

 

 

Allan "apl.de.ap" Pineda and Emelio "Chieffy" Caligdong of the Philippine Azkals banner the seven personalities honored in The Outstanding Young Men of 2012.

 

Chieffy, a pure-blooded Filipino member of the Azkals was honored for his vital contribution to sports while Pineda was honored for Contemporary Music.

 

The other 2012 TOYM awardees are:

• Democratic Independent Workers’ Association (DIWA) Partylist Representive Emmeline Aglipay for Public Service
• Warren Baticados for Veterinary Medicine
• Abelardo David for Community Occupational Rehabilitation
• Ivan Anthony Henares for Heritage Conservation
• Rodrigo “Jiggy” Manicad, Jr. for Broadcast Journalism

It was no less than the President, Benigno Aquino who lead the ceremonies Wednesday.

TOYM is one of the country's prestigious recognitions to individuals who are in 18 to 40 years old showing their dedication to their fields for the development of the society
