Senate approves on second reading Blatche's naturalization to play for Gilas

Brooklyn Nets Andray Blatche is a step closer to playing in the Philippines as the Senate approves his bill for naturalization on its second reading.

Senator Sonny Angara confirmed the news to which Gilas coach Chot Reyes immediately said thank you.

The bill is the counterpart of what the House of Representatives had passed last March and will need to pass the third reading in the Senate before being signed by President Noynoy Aquino to complete the process of naturalization.
