Yeay August 20 is a holiday (and 21 too)

President Benigno Aquino III has signed Proclamation No. 455 declaring Monday, August 20, 2012, as a regular holiday throughout the country to mark Eid'l Fitr, or the end of Ramadan.

Aquino signed the proclamation on August 13, ending the massive queries of netizens searching whether August 20 will be declared as a holiday or not.

With this declaration, the country will experience two consecutive long weekends.

August 21 and 27 were already declared as holidays to commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day and National Heroes Day, respectively.
