Two PBA players are in hot water as the Bureau of Internal Revenue filed tax evasion cases to Talk and Text guards Jimmy Alapag and Jared Dillinger.
According to the BIR, Alapag has failed to file his income tax returns for taxable years 2007 to 2010 and value added tax returns from 2007 to 2012.
The tax deficiency, according to BIR was computed to be 17.86 million, inclusive of surcharge and interest. BIR's records show that the 2011 MVP earned 32.28 million in basketball.
Dillinger meanwhile has a tax deficiency of 13.37 million, including surcharge and interest for failing to file his income tax returns from 2008 to 2011 and percentage tax return for 2008. They also added that Dillinger failed to fail his value added tax returns from 2009 to 2012.
Dillinger, another Smart Gilas standout has earned P 22.19 million last year.
