Comedian Sammy Lagmay dies at 55

Comedian Sammy Lagmay died Wednesday afternoon in his house in Bulacan. Sammy passed away at around 3 p.m. at his home in San Jose del Monte in the said province, due to complications from diabetes. He was 55. The comedian is survived by his wife and two children, who are all based in the United States. Sammy had been battling from complications brought by diabetes. His kidney failure forced him to undergo dialysis for years. Kim Chiu's mother dies

The mother of Kapamilya star and former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Kim Chiu has died. The 50-year-old Louella Yap Chiu died yesterday in a private hospital in Cebu. According to veteran showbiz columnist Ricky Lo, Mrs. Chiu recently suffered stroke. Kim's camp however has not disclosed yet Mrs. Chiu's cause of death.
