Olsen Racela is the new Petron Coach

Former San Miguel Beer point guard turned Assistant Coach Olsen Racela is the new Head Coach of Petron Blaze Boosters starting the 38th season of PBA.

He was the popular choice among Petron players and of the top management. His appointment was confirmed by Petron Team Manager Hector Calma.

Racela, now coaching the Energen Team Pilipinas in Mongolia would not be here on Sunday's Draft but a team of assistant coaches would be there on the draft rites.

Ato Agustin, his predecessor is still with Petron along with Gee Abanilla, Pido Jarencio, team consultant Rajko Toroman (who was the other choice for coaching duties), Bobby Parks and Biboy Ravanes.
