Finals Preview: Hungry B-Meg versus the Winning Tradition of Talk and Text

The Commissioner's Cup Finals is about two things: Hunger and Winning Tradition.
The B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados who first booked a seat to the finals while beating erstwhile crowd favorite Ginebra in 4 games have not won a championship since the 2009-2010 Philippine Cup. They have a champion coach, Tim Cone who seeks his first title outside the Alaska franchise and a loaded local line up backed by James Yap, Peter June Simon and Marc Pingris and an import, probably, the tournament's Best Import of the Conference in Denzel Bowles.

Being in the Finals in the tournament is a vindication after what happened to them last conference after being ousted by Powerade in the first round.

Meanwhile, the Talk and Text Tropang Texters is back in the finals, playing for the 5th straight conference in the Finals, fatigue factor may be an issue here because of the number of games that TNT has to play per tournament but expect that their talent, which has brought them 3 of 4 titles in their finals contention bring them back to the promise land and of course, the strength of Donell Harvey would be tested against the B-Meg team who thrives on half-court offense and outside shots. TNT is a force to definitely reckon with as they try to win this before Coach Chot Reyes moves to the Smart Gilas after this season.

How would this finals drama unfold? Watch Game 1 of this series on Monday at Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
