Last June 2 (Sunday), Riza Santos, the rightful winner of Miss Universe Canada received her crown and sash as she begins her journey to Miss Universe 2013 which will be held in a date and a venue to be announced by the Miss Universe Organization.
Santos, originally crowned as first-runner up during the contest emerged as the winner after Beauties of Canada admitted a typo error that affected the scores of the Top 5 girls. Denise Garrido, who was originally crowned as Miss Universe Canada turned out to be the 3rd Runner-Up.
