Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez call it quits

Pop superstar Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez called it quits, according to The Associated Press (AP).

The report said a source confirmed to AP the split, which happened last week, citing "distance" and "busy schedules" as the contributing factors. E! News first reported of the break up.

Bieber, 18, is touring to promote his latest album "Boyfriend," while Gomez is filming a "Wizards of Waverly Place" reunion for Disney Channel called "The Wizards Return: Alex versus Alex," which will air next year.

The pair announced their relationship February last year at the Vanity Fair Oscar party.
