Pinoy Pride rises once more as another Filipina conquers the fashion scene as Mango recently announced that the Filipina blogger and designer Camille Co the It Girl for the clothing brand's 2012 summer season.
In a blog post, Mango said Co bested finalists from New York, Stockholm, Poland and Vigo, Spain after she got the most number of online votes.
Her winning look features her wearing blue trousers with a sequined top and a red clutch.
"She gambled on these colors combined with shiny details and it turned out to be the winning bet...Her combinations of garments are bound to surprise everyone," Mango said.
Mango has partnered with fashion website Lookbook.nu for the It Girl contest, which was launched last September.
The five finalists, which were chosen from 50 contestants, were flown to the Mango headquarters in Barcelona to showcase their original styles using items from the clothing brand.
Co is the creative director of online shop Coexist. She is an awardee of Preview magazine's Emerging Fashion Talents in 2010.
