Broken-hearted student commits suicide

A student in Iloilo City committed suicide after her boyfriend broke up with her, said a report from ABS-CBN News.

The victim was identified as Chenny Tetosora, third year high school student of Oton National High School. The report said she drowned after jumping off a bridge into the Iloilo river at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

Her body was found 30 minutes after search and retrieval operations.

Tetosora's friends said she had been drinking before the incident because she was depressed after hey boyfriend of one week broke up with her.

They however refused to give details on the reason of the breakup.
