Amidst the Villafuerte clan who ran for different local positions during the midterm election, it looks like only the youngest Villafuerte will make it.

Miguel "Migz" Villafuerte, 24 is currently topping the race for governor of Camarines Sur with 191,583 votes against his grandfather, outgoing Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Villafuerte with a lead of 40,000 votes as he had 148,487.

Migz's dad, outgoing Governor LRay Villafuerte who fielded in Migz after he is term-limited lost to Camarines Sur 2nd District re-electionist Dato Arroyo. Luis' wife, Nelly who was the candidate to replace her husband, Luis lost over to Atty. Leni Robredo, widow of former Interior & Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo.
